To all railroad engineers...?

I recently applied for a job down in Bensenville, Illinois as a conductor trainee for Canadian Pacific. I just got an email saying that they couldn't offer me an interview. I'm really upset and I was hoping maybe I could get some advice so that next time if I apply for a job I can be more qualified.
