Can I Fix Alloy Wheels On My Car Without Changing Its Tyres ?

I have a Swift Vx-i 2008 Model. It has completed 25,000 Kms, so i was planning to change the rims to alloy but i want to retain the default Factory fitted JK tyres.. Is This Possible or i must change the tyres also ? If yes then which brand & Series ? Michelin XM+1 or Yokohama A-Drive ?
