Did you know that when white folk "discovered" colombia. they fed all the colombian children to animals?

ok so the spanish discovered colombia in the 1500s and they wanted it for themself so they drowned all the men of the tribe in the sea (the tairona tribe), and fed all the baby's to animals, and killed all the women. i am watching this on tv right now on national geographic channel. why are white folk like this ? dont they have any empathy and conscience ?
